Customers
Without these girls you would still be stuck working at Strata or with a 0 star boutique. Customers are your income source and can become close friends. They will often invite you to outing events and even wish you a happy birthday!
Customers may come into your store wanting to buy an outfit simply because they like your hair (Marble Lily customers like full spiral curls), your outfit (Marble Lily customers like the fairy princess outfit - given on your birthday by Dominic!)

New Customers
New customers appear with "FIRST VISIT ?????" next to their face instead of their name (you learn their name once you serve them once). When you start the game, all of your customers will be first time visitors to your store. Don't worry if your wondering that one will go away and never come back, they always come back! Some customers will shop any day of the week and those are the easiest to "unlock?". Those customers who only shop on a certain day of the week (or two) or harder to catch because they come in and out less frequently. My advice is to serve "
FIRST VISIT ?????" customers first and then take care of the rest of your clientele.
New customers are sometimes harder to please because A) they are new so you have no history on what they like/dislike B) sometimes they give you NOTHING to go on in their order and C) their outfit can be hard to distinguish (main brand/color). The best thing to do is stare at the customer's outfit for a while seeing if you recognize any brands and simply ask them to "take a look" for the first few items eventually you will find either their favorite color (brand does NOT matter here) and/or favorite brand (color does NOT matter here).

2) Change your store's interior (music doesn't really matter...) - gets different people to check out your store, appeals to different people with different tastes in clothing [this one works REALLY well, I get a new customer almost every day with this trick even after 2.5 years of playing]
3) Win a contest and advertise items from an unaffiliated brand - your store's affiliated brand(s): april bon bon, you advertise: alvarado
4) Wear an outfit or your hair to appeal to a certain brand - see customers
